What are Zubbles?
Zubbles are the world's first colored bubbles, invented by Tim Kehoe. If you'd like to learn more about Tim, visit his web site at www.timkehoe.com.

Are Zubbles safe?
Zubbles are nontoxic and very safe. All ingredients are listed on the TSCA (Toxic Substances Control Act) inventory, and all of the dyes have been used for years in children's products. Zubbles are currently made in the United States.

Where can I get Zubbles?
You can order Zubbles on the Zubbles website: www.zubbles.com. We have also starting taking orders from a number of retailers in the United States and in several other countries. If you would like a store near you to carry Zubbles, please invite them to visit our website and/or contact us for more information about becoming a Zubbles reseller (info@zubbles.com).

Do Zubbles come in more colors besides blue and pink?
At this time, Zubbles are only available in the colors blue and pink.

We can make Zubbles in more colors. The other colors fall into two groups: washable colors and "magic" colors (colors that fade on their own). Zubbles in both groups require more testing before we can release them.

We can make a few more colors in a formula in which the color will fade on its own when exposed to air, water, or friction. We hope to release two more of these Zubbles Magic colors next spring, but for now we are working through safety testing and meeting various regulations.

There are also a number of colors that we can make in a washable formula — one that does not begin to fade on its own. In other words, the color from popped bubbles or spilled bubble solution will stay on surfaces just as bright as it is in the bottle until it is washed. We have decided not to release bubbles in this washable formulation at this time. We considering whether there is a market for Zubbles that leave a longer lasting mark than the current Zubbles Magic. If you would be interested in Zubbles that will wash out of most surfaces but will not fade on their own, please let us know.

How can I clean up spilled Zubbles solution?
It is very easy to clean Zubbles Magic popped bubbles and spilled solution. For Zubbles marks that do not fade completely on their own, apply a little water and rub gently until the mark disappears. (With clothing, you may simply want to simply add it to your next load of wash.)

Has anyone reported problems with their caps? Mine leaks.
We have had reports of blue caps leaking particularly when the bottles are left on their sides or when caps that contain a lot of solution are screwed back onto the bottles. We are working on modifications to the caps to make leaks less likely to occur. In the meantime, we recommend the following to minimize leaks:

  • Store Zubbles bottles upright.
  • Save the white cap that came on the bottle for storage and use the blue cap only when using the Zubbles.
  • If you are going to screw the blue cap onto the bottle, rinse the cap with water and dry it before screwing it onto the bottle.

Why are Zubbles more expensive than clear bubbles?
There are two reasons that Zubbles are more expensive than clear bubbles. For one thing, Zubbles have an extra ingredient that makes them colored — dye. The dye in Zubbles is quite expensive. Additionally, Zubbles is a brand new product. It is not yet being produced in quantities that allow for the lowest process for its components. Because Zubbles are more complicated than clear bubbles, they are likely to always cost a little more. However, as we make more and more Zubbles at a time to fill growing demand, we are likely to be able to reduce the costs some.

Can I order Zubbles for my wedding?
We do not usually recommend Zubbles for weddings. Although Zubbles solution does fade on its own when exposed to air, water, or friction, it does not fade immediately and sometimes it does not fade completely on its own. A bride standing under a stream of Zubbles will look fairly colorful at least for a while — as will many of her dressed up guests. Zubbles are easy to clean up, but we do consider them to be a somewhat messy outdoor toy. They are likely only suited to more casual occasions — depending of course on the personalities of the bride and groom.

Can I be a Zubbles distributor?
Currently, we are not entering into any distributor agreements. If you would like to be considered in the future, please send an email to info@zubbles.com.
